Chinese New year is to celibrate the new year. On Chinese new year you see lots of the couler red and a lot of dragons.Also on Chinese new year you  see red money envilopse that has money in it. did you know that Chionese new year is on monday the 8th of feburary. Did you know that Chinese new year has been celebrated for over 4000 years. Also the chinese calendar runs on a 12 year cycle. another thing about chinese new year is each new year is named after an animal from the zodiac. Also on chinese new year firecrackers are often let off during chinese new year and it is belived that the firecrackers scare away evil spirits.The dragon is a sign of good luck and good fortune.
